Vander's Human Physiology

by Eric Widmaier, Hershel Raff, and Kevin Strang

4.3/5.0 (3)

Presents the fundamentals of human physiology eloquently, focusing on each organ system and then a few case studies that might be helpful for those interested in diagnosis. Although fairly wordy, it is written in a style reminiscent of Campbell Biology, with bolded keywords and relevant concepts that are elaborated upon. Primarily focuses on principles of physiology that apply in each organ system, and does not dive deep into anatomical understanding although it mentions key structures.

A good read with interesting concepts that engage students to develop their own physiological understanding.

Wordy explanation and very compact formatting, if these things are bearable then it does a decent job covering most concepts
